conceptual estimates. These
estimates are approximate and completed with minimal or no drawings or
specifications.

cost estimates. Whereas the
budget is fixed but the scope of work is not.

development estimates. The
target costs are reviewed and alternate design/cost
solutions are produced.

Bidding and
pre bid estimates. The
bidder’s qualifications are reviewed, a pre-bid estimate is made and
alternative bids are analyzed.

Bidding and
submitting tenders. Bids for contractors are accurately completed and
tenders are submitted

cost analysis estimates. Advice
is given towards soft costs and
recommendations are made towards contingencies and reserves.

Progress
schedules. Construction schedules and cash flow projections are prepared.

Construction
phase changes. Change orders
are reviewed and advised upon. Discrepancies
between the budget and actual costs are monitored, and payment requests,
retainages, percentages, waivers, and claims are reviewed.
