QUALITY CONTROL VS QUALITY ASSURANCE

Quality Control

Traditionally, quality control is the process of detecting faults in the manufacturing process and taking remedial action to eliminate it.  A more modern view generalizes in a broader scope on the robustness, performance and workmanship of the finished product.

Quality Assurance

Quality assurance is the ability to meet and exceed standards set in order to assure a product will satisfy its given requirements for quality.  It can also be described as the ability to consistently comply with guidelines and requirements. Good quality assurance can be a sign of reliability.
